Forgotten Tradition
Hello, my name is S.Grace Jones. I am the daughter of Leah and Ronnie Jones, who also have a site called Jones Family Farm.
I believe that I am to remind people of a simple life of caring for others with a heathy mindset of modesty and assurance. Since the beginning of time God has given mankind the simple job of caring for the earth.
Animal care is just making sure you are breeding strong healthy animals that do not get sick as often and continue to produce good; meat, milk, eggs, etc. Keeping records helps to know who is related to who and how you can improve genetics in your animals.
Goats are great animals to start learning genetics with! Nigerian Dwarfs are a miniature breed that can be used for milk and/or meat. They can be all sorts of colors and I have so much fun seeing what each goat carries in their genetics! Because these goats are miniature, they can have difficult labors, I aim to help my herd have easier labors, workable udders, and great form. (I do not have any registered goats)
It's not always easy on a farm, there are ups and downs and sometimes it takes a toll on you. But the end result is good and God will be proud of those people that take care for what God gave them.
